I would invest my emergency fund (3-9 months of expense) in government series i-bond (average 7%) via treasury direct.
Then invest the rest - etf if you don’t want to manage, individual stocks if you want more hands on. I use m1 finance and it’s been great so far!
Thanks EY2
Is this over your emergency fund? 6k can go into your IRA in a couple weeks. I would stick with ETFs in a brokerage account but up to you what you want to do. I don’t get when you say you are nervous about investing but say you may want to put money in risky investments
Most with millions in the IRA either got lucky, is Peter Thiel or had an opportunity like him, or is older and rolled a 401k into it. Up to you what you think is best.

What are you investing your ira and 401k and Hsa in then? You must have picked there too?
IRA is all ETFs, 401k is just the mutual funds my company offers, and HSA is also mutual funds
Split the baby. Messy, but safer.
Dollar cost average your non emergency funds into a service like Wealthfront and/or Fundrise.

I would suggest putting a certain % of money in the risky investment and the rest in whatever you are comfortable with. I use 5-7% as a rule of thumb as play money and invest in individual stocks which are riskier than mutual funds or ETFs. Based on your question, you seem to be comfortable taking the 60k and investing it aggressively. So, if you can stomach it, go for it.
