I'm a civil engineer with 7+ years of experience in metro (bulk concrete infrastructure sector). I have recently migrated to Australia. I have been tirelessly looking for jobs, but no luck yet. I have modified my CV as per job requirements, written appropriate cover letter, but no response. I canmot find how i am faulting the application procedure. Can you guys suggest how to get a break-in into the australian workforce.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?

I am currently interviewing a few of companies. I want to be able to travel (abroad) and work. Time zone isn't an issue, I can work at the same time zone or ensure significant time overlap.

How would you ask for remote work without setting anyone off?
