Ha! Both! People at work love to talk politics, but when they ask for my opinion they get mad or offended. I don’t get why they ask, everyone knows I don’t agree with their views. But, it’s not just work, it’s everywhere... I walk to work and at one point there were union protests going on for 4 straight weeks. One of the people came off the picket lines to ask me a question... bad idea.

My one year in Chicago is coming up at the end of March. I told my self I’d stay at least one year and no more than two. This city (and state) is on another level.

Agree Chicago weather is brutal. But unions fighting for a fair wage, worker protections - what is objectionable about that? You seem way to young be so disaffected by folks pushing for collective bargaining.

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk?
