Struggling with a decision. Just started a new role with good manager and WLB within healthcare technology. But another large tech firm/cloud/software reached out and willing to pay 20% more. Not sure what the WLF is for this other role. Should I take the better paying role?

2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique. I generally like the work I do and the people I work with, but I really don’t like the hours and the constant late nights and weekends. Currently on pace for 2250. Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? Will this ruin my opportunities down the road?

I feel left out in my firm. How do I make 'friends' with my colleagues? I've been here for a year. My wife recently put in her two weeks and half the people she worked with are just ignoring her messages. They asked to work longer but bc of her new company she cant. Shes moving for about 60% more pay from external audit to senior accounting. Shes extremely sad and im confused why these firms are so uptight about this. She is giving them an additional 4 days which she wanted to use on vacation. Did she do something wrong?

Currently renting for ~ $1500/mo in a low COL city. My lease ends in Dec and am looking to purchase a property and get into rental game. I have $40K in bank, but I’m not sure what my max investment should be or will be approved for.
