Bain & Company Atlanta people! I’m in the process of applying for MBA programs and wanted to ask what recruiting is like for MBB from Emorys program? Is there a reasonable shot at getting into the Atlanta office from Emory, or are those openings primarily filled by other schools (Duke, UVA, etc.)

Midtown is your neighborhood
I’m a lesbian and just moved to Atlanta a year ago. It seems like there is a robust gay (male) community here. Bars, sports leagues, running clubs. It has surprised me (in a good way). As others have said, look at Midtown. It’s not NYC, but it is walkable.
I currently live in deep Brooklyn I never really came to NYC for NYC but some form of community would be stellar.
Agree with A1. Midtown has all the gay bars/ hangout spots.
Tons of dogs in midtown and you’re right next to Piedmont park
+1 for Midtown but I’ll add a few other neighborhoods to the list
- Little 5 points
- East Atlanta Village
- Kirkwood
Each is a little further east of midtown but all would have dog friendly parks and quirky / creative communities you mentioned on one of your comments
Walk ability is extremely important to me. How do you deal with traffic? I'm drawn to Atlanta because I can live closer to work and it's a bit cheaper but I fear I'll lose any gains to gas money.
We are very gay friendly and the ATL is a fantastic place to live ! Come on down !!
I moved from NYC a couple of years ago. Currently living in Midtown. It’s not NYC but it’s a lot of bang for your buck.
