PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!
138k as an ACD in San Francisco - too low?

I moved from Boston to San Diego for work in 2019. It’s much easier now, with all the remote opportunities. I’d just focus on applying to those roles. Securing one of those roles is how you’re going to get out here the quickest.
Agreed, I also started putting a local address on my resume to make it easier...I feel like some places used to scan you out if you had a non-local address but don't think that's the case
I moved from New Jersey to San Diego in 2018 and absolutely love it out here. I was able to keep my job and work remotely but when I was ready to make the move to a west coast company I had a lot of luck working through recruiters with local connections. Would highly recommend that route if you’re having trouble through LinkedIn or other routes.
I’ll try remote first if I don’t have luck. Thank you!
I did Washington DC to San Diego. I would echo the remote opportunities. My job is fully remote and not based in SD. However, there’s still plenty of jobs here. Just get on LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and all the other options to see what’s available. The Dept of Defense has a huge presence here so there’s a lot of government contracting that’s always hiring with steady jobs.
Great to know! Thank you :)
I would post in the job referral bowl as well. I have been able to get a couple referrals in there :) Might be helpful to get a referral and get your foot in the door.
Let us know how it goes for you!
I moved to San Diego a few months ago. I love it here, and I got a new job because I didn't want to keep my previous job. I would recommend looking for remote jobs first until you settle here.
