Hello! I'm wondering if anyone here has received any guidelines, restrictions or recommendations from their employer on how to use ChatGPT at work?

A safe way around it is to quickly copy any sensitive material to a word doc and find/replace any identifying text (e.g. company name, project names, other descriptors) with place holders (e.g. (AAA, BBB, CCC).

Then once the bot has done the deed, decript the responses in word/google docs.

My boss just asked me to make a presentation on how we are using it / could use it, which was unexpected and the opposite of what I thought if I’d brought it up

Just wrote all my annual reviews using it. Makes trying to say “you’re a bit lazy, and do the minimum on everything you work on” sound a lot more positive whilst saying pull your thumb out.

Restrictions feels wild. I hope that’s not a thing.

Seriously? You think employees should freely send confidential information to a third-party service and indiscriminately disseminate text created by a hallucinating chatbot...?

Some may like the fact that we use it and others might consider it cheating etc. As far as I’m concerned it’s a new tool and if others are using it we should be as well.

...or use it responsibly.

I'm feeling a lot of anger towards my manager (now he's acting normal but there were moments where he was condescending/dismissive/mocked my and others work/arrogant/said stuff was "wrong" constantly/belittling the difficulty of tasks etc. in the past project).
Maybe it is "standard chewing out" but it bothered me a lot. So much that I find myself still getting all fired up inside thinking about it...
Idk how to let go of this :/ Thoughts?
