I was interviewed at EY UK on 7th Sep. It was quite smooth. Since then I haven't heard anything back from them though interviewer claimed SLA to get back with outcome of interview is 48 hours. On portal it still says I'm in hiring team phase. It was level 1 interview.
Should I take this delay as rejection?

Resign after you get the CoS please.
I've heard of people getting verbal confirmation but companies rescinding the offer.
Visa process will take almost 2 months unless applying for priority visa. Plus they would've informed you about your start date I'm assuming (if not, that is there on the CoS)
I am saying DO NOT... DO NOT Resign before getting COS in hand.
Considering the layoffs and industry scene.
Pay 24000 for priority visa and get in 5 days.
But do not resign before COS (i waited till I had my visa in my hand)
Taking resignation back will automatically put you in "unreliable" employee bin, 1st to go in any shaky scenario.
Forget growth prospect of you stayed back.
After getting the CoS indeed. Make sure the start date on your CoS comes after your last working date in your current organization. 2 months is more than enough to get your visa (it takes 15 working days for normal route, 5 working days for priority and 1 for super priority).
Deloitte 2, all these fees (IHS, ECCTIS and TB test) will be reimbursed. Some employers pay for Visa and IHS upfront, and some reimburse you after joining. But all employers do sponsor for all these fees. So no worries.
However, in case of reimbursement, most employers reimburse visa fees completely, and other fees such as IHS, ECCTIS, TB are subject to tax deduction. So you lose some money there.
And the fees you pay to VFS and for priority visa application is not reimbursed in most of the cases.
