I don’t know what everyone is bashing this guy for wanting to enter GPS. Some people find more satisfaction with meaning performing work that they care about. I personally like GPS because many projects I’m on I know I’m making a difference by making our government more efficient and coming up with solutions that are sustainable. Ya EY 1 it’s slow because it needs a lot of work, it’s a challenge and a problem we need to fix.
The work we do will eventually help stretch our tax dollars more and hopefully allow us to be taxed less and benefit more from the dollars spent. As a veteran my passion is working within Defense for GPS and everyday I wake up on a project I strive to do the best I can do.
Ultimately, in GPS it’s a nice change of pace of not worrying too much about lining the stakeholders pockets and more of what you can do for the greater public of our country.
I moved to DC it just happenes
Whhhhyyyyy? Federal is so slow and bureaucratic. I ended up there straight outta college doing intel comm work which was at least interesting.
I work in CCG (finance and economic development group). My client is US Treasury. What do you want to know op?
All of them, every company is in every part of Fed. Accenture does a lot, Booze has the latent presence and only does fed. We do it every agency uses contractors.
I work within another industry oil and gas trying to branch out
Just don’t.
I am not sure in which areas I would like to be in. What are some of the areas of work for Federal, what business units if they have them?
