Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on job hunting. Is it better to cold-call clinics directly to ask about open positions, or should I stick to emailing the office manager (or whatever contact is listed on their website)? Or is it a good idea to do both? I'd appreciate any insight or tips you have!

I think both can work, but timing matters. Clinics are usually slammed during certain parts of the day, so random calls can feel hit or miss. I’d send a short, professional email first and then call later just to make sure they received it.

This is a good point! Very solid advice.

I’d say both! I think covering more ground & speaking to more people can get you the best results.

Hello, I’m currently looking for a non clinical position in the Charlotte area, more in the public health field. Does anyone have any referrals or info on any jobs?

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.

Good morning!

Still trying to figure out this whole Fishbowl thing, so here goes my first post.

I would love to get into provider credentialing, but all employers I've looked at want at least 3 years of experience. So, I'm looking at Provider Network Coordinator roles, because I'm finding some of those roles don't need AS MUCH experience. I'm a RHIT, and have been working in healthcare for nearly 10 years.

Any input on employers is appreciated!

I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?
