Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.

Changing project:
In order to change project, you need to figure out the right person as per org structure. May be somebody from your org can help you.
But the situation can happen even in new project also. So, we should see if we can handle it.
Find out the root cause:
You need to understand if you are struggling only with Project Manager or is there any other issue also ?
Case 1:
If PM is the problem:
If PM is the problem, then here are some possible scenarios-
- PM is having contradicting opinion but opinion is valuable ?
One need to be open to listen for overall project's benefit. No one is perfect, value others opinion even if one may/may not be an expert in subject.
- Is PM interfering always without bringing any value on the table ?
Like everybody else, PM also wants to feel valuable. But yes, it should not be done at the project cost.
One can see if one can share PM's feedback constructively via skip level/anonymously
For example- PM should trust his/her team to get the best out of them. This can allow team to take ownership & will increase overall productivity in the team.
Case 2: TBD
Above is just some possible scenarios, I am not sure about exact issue. Exact issue needs to be discussed.
