As an MBB consultant looking to move into industry, should I expect to take a pay cut? The roles I’ve come across so far seem to for less pay than I make now

Due to a mix of circumstance, hikes / job moves, i’ve 2x my salary over the last year.
However, regardless of much i earn, it feels as if i will never feel rich or save enough in a place like London. Crazy constantly increasing taxes, sky rocketing rents and early saturation in salaries. Is UK the right place to be or is it the same everywhere.

What’s the fastest way to get to 100k+ GBP in London if I’m an M now at PwC? How should I exit / play this and what jobs pay that? For context, moved here from the US and ended up taking quite a bit of pay cut. Have a CS background.
