How are the yearly hikes in pepsico
Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

Being lowballed vs being discriminated because you are from another country are two completely different things. The latter being more serious and can be reported for ‘being racist’ where as being lowballed companies do all the time to save costs on salaries
Please be more clear and specific when making serious accusations like this

Could be true but also know that performance in interview rounds, whack reasons, expectations are also subjective. You might think one thing vs the company/people who interviewed you something else so hard to pinpoint the exact cause
If you want a certain pay/comp negotiate hard because in my experience companies will low ball you irrespective you are from this country or a developing country. It’s not racism it’s just how the big 4/ negotiation tactics work
In my experience and yes I am an immigrant I have always been treated fairly and have been low balled because that’s how things work (it’s not about race) so I negotiated to what I felt was fair. Having said that coming with a foreign passport and requiring a visa, things will always be harder
hi, i joined from a developing country and no, i got paid similar to peers native to UK. you can negotiate your pay. what grade are you joining, i could give more information if you'd like
Only London
No discrimination

I hire people - no, because as soon as you land you’ll learn how much your peers are paid and you’ll move to someone who will pay you what you are worth
No, I moved from India and am at the top end of the pay range at my level.
I don’t work at Deloitte but I’be been interviewing a lot of people in tax from developing countries. I know that the salaries that we offer to them may be at the lower end but it is not because we discriminate, but because the experience in tax somewhere in Malaysia is very different to the UK and much more compliance driven than, say, in the Netherlands. I’m not aware of any discrimination based on nationality and I’m myself from a developing country.
I work in tax consulting
