No matter what temperature it is outside, the offices are still way too air conditioned. I'm typically wearing almost what I wear in the winter, just taking off my blazer when I go outside.
If your office is air conditioned there’s really no reason to be wearing skimpy clothes to work. I live in the desert and I manage to dress appropriately in the summer, including wearing a suit to court on days when it’s 110° F.
Hey, I'm willing ot look the other way when people are just wanting to be comfrotable.
The more skin, the more you’re wanting attention in a certain way that’s not to do with the quality of your work.
Maybe I’m getting old but agree with this…
You switch from wool to linen - you don’t loose the clothes.
We sent an email out to some interns last week:
"If you would wear it to a bar, night club or beach then it is most likely not appropriate for work".
Always the women who are offenders of the acceptable dressing code of conduct.
You cannot deflect the blame onto influencers and Social media. Personal accountability for workplace compliance is still a real thing.
