Are there certain firms that are more accepting of Tax backgrounds entering advisory positions? I’m a CPA with a couple years regional tax experience looking to transition to advisory/deals, but have struggled getting big 4 advisory interviews even with solid recommendations.
I’ve heard there’s solid opportunities in advisory type work for some other large firms outside big 4. Has anybody made a similar transition?

Hi Fishes, As the recession is coming. I am really worried that I switch or not. I have got an offer from Here Technologies. Can anyone please suggest what should I do? Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. Sometimes I ignore, procrastinate or simply other more urgent things come up to increase the delay. Also I work with 3 managers in my team which doesn’t help with expectations nor guidance. Any tips pls?
