Just saw pictures of my cousin’s wedding and feeling kind of bummed. Everyone was there to celebrate him and his to be wife - and it made me realize no one would be there for my day. My partner is White/American with a very large, close knit family and doesn’t really understand the cultural layers. I think about the mother-son dance or other traditions in any culture that I can’t recreate at my wedding. Not terribly sad, but just wanted to share in case others also have similar experiences.

Could someone guide me through the process of getting short term disability? I have diagnosed generalized anxiety disorder, and am having an extremely hard time with work. How did you get your psych to agree to short-term disability? I am seeing a new psych, and I am not sure what to say. I’m nervous he’ll say I don’t need it since my condition doesn’t warrant it.
