Hi All, how to answer an interview question about "why did you leave your last job and what u've been doing since then"? This question is the reason for me to not get a job offer & I've been unemployed for about 2 years now. I lied about answering the question, and came up with something like, it was due to some personal matter. It did not work. I tell the truth, and that is the culture was not right for me. I get rejected. I just don't know what to do anymore. Any suggestions?

If I may, you should always be truthful but you don't have to share in great depth. And follow up both a positive. I personally have a gap in years on my resume. When interviewers ask I share. I battled cancer. But in that time I did find contract work helping businesses start an accounting procedure, help implement budgets that would help owners be more price conscious & drive income. I also volunteered and took some classes in my field. I truly hope this helps you & you find the right job soon!

After being asked the same questions and not having a job for a long time because we constantly are getting rejected, WTH are we suppose to say? It does make you want to lie. I fully understand what you’re going through.

O was li was laid off

Here are some good answers that you can choose from:
1. Lack of career growth opportunities
2. Limited professional development
3. Desire for more challenging work
4. Organizational restructuring
5. Better compensation elsewhere
6. Misalignment with company culture
7. Seeking new industry or skill exposure
8. Management/leadership issues
9. Work-life balance concerns
10. Company's financial instability

I often use 3. Desire for more challenging work, because at my last job I did mostly collections then got put on a huge reconciliation project that was ongoing for months. It totally changed the dynamics of my original role as a collector, which to me was more challenging.

Hope this helps.

I am short ES as of this evening. We are right up against a daily short level and I am using this 15 minute entry in the afterhours.

Nasdaq and Stocks want to make a double-top here. At the moment, hard to be short with this momentum. But, a break of the extension will mean a nice retrace and a move back to our lows of the year.

The Dow is an easier read. We broke the intermediate short down here at the lows. The dip into new lows serves as a sling shot to take the market higher. Dow HWB long is 25221, down from the close of 25398. Use this weakness to load up for a massive rally that should take us back to the 26300 level for the longer term HWB short.

Would like to understand market comp for in office CD roles, 4+yrs m&a experience and 25-40 advisories under belt. It’s an F500. Basically a pay cut of like 60-75% lol, idk if they’re testing me or serious. Edit: Happy to give any additional details.

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.
