Had a freak accident in the office and ended up in the ER with stitches. Any experience with workers comp in the big 4???
I received a message on LinkedIn from an internal recruiter at a company that sounded intriguing. Would it be bad form to ask for more information about the role and about comp up front? I wasn’t looking to leave my firm until later next year at the earliest, but the company sounds really interesting. Don’t want to waste a lot of time if the comp isn’t right, though.
What does a knowledge/research analyst at MBB do ? I know it’s a non-consulting track , what is a better career path - SC at D(adv) vs. research support at MBB? Any information would be very helpful!
Lateral move + 10K bump to MBB or promotion + 30K bump to a niche firm? Similar type of work.

Any EY folks know how PAS interviews (experienced staff role) are structured? Is it just standard behavioral and case interview?
Thoughts on moving to a lower tier consulting company for more $ (~56% increase in TC). Currently at a Big 4 and not sure if moving will negatively impact the opportunities available to me further down the line
I had the weirdest thing happen to me. The CTO flew down to meet with me and discuss start date, OTE Salary, and even emailed me the benefits guide. He scheduled a meeting with the CEO and said “offer letter to follow.” Three hours before the meeting the CTO called me to tell me they were rescinding everything due to a business decision that they aren’t filling the Solutions Architect role. Does this happen? What should I think of it?
Anyone go from MBB/T2 to MBA school and do something OTHER than return to consulting / go for high finance? Curious what your return on making that decision is and if it’s ever worth going if you’re already in consulting. Seems like most non-Consulting or IB jobs you could just skip the MBA.
I had a company offer me a position under the original range and after I’ve turned down the role multiple times they have come back with an offer with a better title and $30k more. This huge shift put a bad taste in my mouth, but wasn’t sure if I was begin too critical because I wouldn’t operate that way as a recruiter.
Hey Folks, Any java developer working in Mphasis for JPMC project ? Need some reality check on the kind of work. My hiring manager is boasting about the technologies, opportunities that they offer. I hope she is not trying to body shopping.
Im on an H1B at Deloitte. I want to move to the Dubai and have been getting some traction with two different consulting firms. I’ve used less than one year of my first H1B. If at some point in the future I want to move back to the US will that count as a new petition or the sponsoring company with which I’ll get a job can file a transfer petition and get me started?
Hey fishes, I will be joining Deloitte USI as a Consultant (SAP) next month. Appreciate if you could help me up with a few queries! 1. I have heard Deloitte provides access to platforms like Udemy, Coursera. Do they have special discounts on various courses? 2. What is the leaves policy like (Sick leaves, vacations, etc). Also, I have heard that 25th December to 2nd January week is a complete off, is it true? 3. Has anyone done SAP certification and do they provide SAP Learning Hub Access
Anyone here on a sponsored worker visa? I am switching employers to Accenture. I am being told I cannot clear a right to work check until my BRP arrives. And because of this I will need to have my start date pushed by two weeks (start date is mid Jan right now, visa approved yesterday and they need the documents by end of week). Does this make sense? I'm trying to argue my case as I don't like the idea of losing two weeks, and I am approved. I cannot control the post delivery times...
Having some imposter syndrome lately: Previous JMO who left for Management Consulting years ago post-MBA (non top-25), but now a manager in tech. Moved around firms and looking to move again to chase the pay and title I think I should be at. Always wrestling with YoE and skills versus the higher positions I think I’m qualified for. Always comparing years in industry and rationalizing years of management/soft skills in the military. Anyone deal with or conquer this? and how? TIA
EY-Parthenon any recent external hire (ideally those coming from MBB) SD base comp data points?
What cert to go for next? Currently have AWS-SAA and Security+. Thinking about CISSP but how difficult is it compared to the AWS-SAA?
MBB🐠 who landed offers post-MBA M7: how did you handle the pressure/not let nerves get the best of you in the final round? In undergrad I cracked with Bain given it was my goal for 3 years. Don’t see how MBA recruitment would be much different😫
Sia Partners case interview next week. Can anyone shed light on what to expect? I’m a bit confused on how their cases work. Also overall company thoughts would be appreciated.
If I leave the firm before my referral bonus is due (6 months from now?), Will I still get paid for that referral?
Senior Associates: What is your current salary? I want to see where I stand/what’s competitive these days. I’ll go first: 3YOE, Federal SOC reporting, $91k
What are the interview questions asked for a lead business analyst at legato healthcare? Is the company good enough? Any insights?
Hello I’m in final round interviews with Visa for a role in talent program management. Advice is welcomed, but mostly need some good vibes!
Are they going to target Visa workers next?
Off the clock, male client saw me looking at shoes on my phone & told me he felt bad for my husband. I quickly told him not to worry because I make plenty of my own money. What a dick.
Is there anyone at JPMorgan Chase that works in the Global Real Estate division or have a colleague who does? I was curious to know what the interview process was like for you and to possibly connect.
I have an Ignorant “friend” who’s a construction laborer. He CONSTANTLY puts down teachers and complains that we make too much and only work 10 months a year. What are some good comebacks? Sick of it.
So, work from home, mindless spreadsheet work, no more meetings today. Acceptable to have a beer or two while I slog through?
Need advice for dealing w/ my mom. She constantly picks arguments when I bring up anything regarding my in laws. I’m pregnant and it’s my mom’s 5th grandkid and my in laws first (con’t)
Why do the big four keep hiring college students aggressively then fire them after a year for having low utilization. Why not just hire the amount you can actually staff
Got an offer as an experienced consultant at another Big 4 in Canada for $57K CAD. Am I being low-balled?
What should I expect salary wise for a S& Healthcare Cloud/Analytics Manager role? (HCOL, no MBA but MPH, 6 YOE)
People Analytics Manager at Facebook (Meta) lists a requirement of 8+ years experience in HR Consulting. I’m at 5.5 years experience focused specifically on People Analytics (both internal initiatives and client work). Should I hold off on applying until I have more experience under my belt? Any hurt in throwing out an application?
What are your top subscription services who send (free) employment law/benefits/hr trend updates?
Long story short - my nanny has many conservative values - mom shaming breastfeeding in public, gender specific roles, considering boys better than girls etc. it never bothered me before and I have learned to co exist with her however now my toddler is speaking and understanding more I am worried about him being influenced by her. Further she also has comments against my SO being too involved parent & calling out son as cutie, hugging toddler etc as he is a boy. Contd..
Does contributing to 401k beyond the match make sense? You can’t touch it until you’re 59.5. If i were to invest on my own in various etfs Ill pay the 22% tax upfront and then cap gains would be 15% when i sell. I’d have freedom to use that money to invest in real estate. when i pull my yearly salary out in retirement I’d Atleast be in the 22% bracket if not higher. Since the last 3 dem presidents have increased spending like crazy i expect massive tax hikes in the future. Am i wrong?
