Congratulations on graduating! Unfortunately, this is the case for A LOT of people right now. It's a very unforgiving, competitive job market, and even getting a single interview is proving challenging. I would advise you to keep doing exactly what you're doing: applying to anything and everything just to get some money coming in. You can keep applying to assistant courses throughout, but getting a paycheck - no matter what the job is - is your priority number one. If you still can't find anything, I'd consider doing gig work on the side too (e.g. driving for Uber Eats or pet sitting). Just keep applying to as many positions as you can and know that you are not alone. Everyone is struggling to find work right now.
Thank you I would but I don't have a car
Since you have childcare in your background experience, try applying at local schools as teaching assistants or maybe substitute teachers, since licensing may not be required for a substitute. I would also apply for positions with whatever state you live in, as they will usually hire with no experience. Good luck! I have tons of experience and am having trouble getting interviews.
I am NOT in the U.S nor do I have ANY desire to be. I am not trying to immigrate. I am trying to find a job in my own country where I am a citizen.
A lot of people are unfortunately in similar spots. Keep trying, and definitely keep casting that wide net. Any work experience is good. Look over your resume and search for best practices for ATS.
Congrats on the course although just a degree alone does not guarantee a job as it is actual experience that matters. Honestly, I would suggest taking whatever job you can get even if it is back in childcare. Have you tried filing for Unemployment, Food Stamps (SNAP) / WIC, Medical Assistance, etc. through your county / state?
Receptionistadministrative Assistant 1, you might have 3 years of experience but is it in the field you are looking to get into or related to it? You also need to realize that the economy, job market, and political situations of the US are bad and there are thousands of people dealing with unemployment or underemployment. If you have not, I would have someone look at your resume to make sure it passes through AI / ATS and still apply for anything and everything that you can get no matter if it is in office, remote, or hybrid. As long as it pays and is legal it is a good job.
Start with a temp agency to gain experience and build a reputation. We’re a dime a dozen so places may be nervous to hire someone who they aren’t sure they can depend on. That was my experience when getting started, anyway.
I have tried NONE respond to me and the ones on Linkin I had 15 SPAM jump on me at once as soon as I made a post about looking. It's INSANE how many are fake and how disgusting that is to take advantage of the naive and new to this thing..
I am sorry the reason we are assuming you are in the US is because a great majority of us are in the US.
I would be proud to be Canadian which, with our current political climate, I am embarrassed to be an American. Once I am able to do so financially, I plan on leaving the US and denouncing my citizenship after relocating to a place far from the US and hopefully far from WWIII.
