If you are a student: yes.
If you have a job: no. Focus on making real work for your clients. You maybe can show some spec work during interviews but don’t post it publicly and certainly not on LinkedIn.

It’s funny because 90 percent of what agencies submit to award shows is spec

You can use google right?
Are you currently a student or currently employed? If you’re a student, or a recent grad without a job lined up yet, post that spec work!
If you’ve got a job, I wouldn’t post spec work for existing clients or their competitors, and ideally I wouldn’t recommend posting spec work at all, though I know how tough it can be to get client work you love produced as a junior. Maybe just add to your portfolio without posting
There are two CDs at WK who got hired from making spec work of many of their existing clients while they were still working at that agency (maybe grey?). If your book sucks and you want to go somewhere great, I think spec can always be helpful.

Depends on the brand and how you frame the messaging
Only show spec if it’s legitimately great. With no clients, if they’re just ok, it’s all you
Thanks for responses everyone! I just want to somehow protect that work.
One person saw it and wants to take credit for it. And it’s a full PR campaign rather than a small advertising work.. What are any other ways than posting it publicly and making sure everyone saw that I made it first and making sure that person doesn’t use my idea?
