My goal was to retire by 50.

If Cryptocurrency pans out over the next few years, that I was planning on pushing down to 45.

Based on this article I, I want to push it down to 40 now 😭.

I've sacrificed so much to work. If I'm going to do this, I want a fat ass nest egg so provide plenty of coverage in case I have a family. Ideally expenses would pay for my lifestyle and most of my families without needing to work a part time job that's stressful.

Been having a rough few months. What do you folks do to think more positively and to deal with the stress mentality.

My wife got covid and is quarantined and the day she started showing symptoms she used my pillow. I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal for most, but that pillow is like a sleeping pill for me. Tried all the pillows at home, got 2 new ones from Costco and Macys but all to waste. Tried asking her to give it to me so that I can wash and use, she said she gets better rest on that one. Restless nights since last 3 days and counting.. hoping she will return it after she recovers 🤞

So yesterday I woke up with an awful migraine; probably one of the worst I’ve ever had. It just so happened that my wife and I had things planned with the kids, but I literally couldn’t get out of bed. Long story short, my wife is still pissed that I spent most of the day in bed because of how I was feeling, and in her words, I should have just “sucked it up and dealt with it for us.” This pisses me off to no end. And she’s still being in a bitchy mood today on top of it!

Hey all, question about a toxic organization. I’ve rided it out in sales as an AE at an org for 2 years and now I truly feel my mental health suffers. There is inconsistent behavior and 0 accountability from leadership when we don’t hit our sales targets.

Is this a normal thing in sales?

I need some help. I'm struggling immensely to cope right now and have been for a while. I'm talking about breakdowns and crying every day. I can't ask for help as I'm going to hand in my notice in two weeks and then stay for another three more only, but I feel incapable of even getting through those five weeks. How do I make it out ok?

We are very leanly staffed and I have a principle role in many transactions as sole associate which makes it more challenging, to both cope and take space.

Additional Posts in FIRE Financial Independence Retire Early

Have money invested in S&P 500, and now starting to regret not having diversified to international stocks as well. Would want to diversify now to buy a total stock market index, however since S&P 500 dropped more than that index, not sure it’s worth to crystallize losses to do that. The alternative is to stop buying S&P 500 and start buying other markets as separate ETFs, to eventually bring in line approx. with total stock market index. Any advice on the best course of action?

Hi,
28 with about only 30k saved till now. Have worked 2.8 years and I feel I’m so behind. I’ve tried to save on everything possible but my family commitments make me feel I will never be able to retire - I make 95k a year and started at 82 base and 14k sign on in 2019. From 2019-2020 I had to help a family memes out of debt (approximately 30k). I started saving more aggressively in 2020 but then realized I’ll have to support my dad who’s business went under (1K every month-he’s in India so low
