Hi everyone,
I had interviewed with Fidelity International for a role on 28th May 2025. Recently, when I checked my Workday portal, the status was showing as “Declined by Candidate.” However, I never declined the opportunity and was actually very interested in the role.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of status update on Workday? Could this be a system error or does it usually mean the position is closed?

How do I nicely tell a director (not the one I report to) that I don’t want to work on a project that she’s trying to get me on? My manager and I already had a conversation about me not working on this specific thing (he and I both agree it isn’t something that’ll help my case for promotion, doesn’t need three people working on it, etc). Manager said he’d talk to her but it isn’t sinking in…

I think there's this myth that therapists have all their own sh*t figured out, and for me at least I know that's far from true (hopefully it isn't just me). On the contrary, I think we should be leading by example!

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.?
