For the Google/FB interviews, I got pretty far. But I didn’t have the rigorous algorithm background/thinking to pass the final rounds. I feel with better preparation I would have done better.
Should I be putting the effort into getting better at coding and reapply to these companies, or scrap that and try haplessly applying to grad programs despite my embarrassing gpa
Your options aren’t mutually exclusive.
If you like software engineering and building things, go for coding. As you improve, you can apply to prominent companies.....or have a network that assists you into them. There are also certifications you can acquire to assist you.
Grad programs might be harder, depending on your GPA. It will definitely cost an arm & leg, if you do get in.
Depends on where you see yourself in the next 5/10 years.
