Hi Everyone,I have completed all four rounds at Walmart and received feedback from the HR today. I was informed that I cleared the HM round with positive feedback, but the HR round is yet to happen. My profile has been put on hold due to a hiring freeze related to audits and year-end budgeting.
The HR mentioned the process will likely resume after the first week of January and assured me this is the same for all shortlisted candidates.

Anyone looking to remotely case over the next month? I'm a month out from an MBB interview

Applied to a job and was referred. My referral let me know ~5 days after I applied that they received an email that my application was passed to the hiring team. That was three weeks ago and haven’t heard anything from Google and my referral hasn’t heard anything. Job posting is still live. This is for a strategic initiatives role. Within norms this is moving slow? Should I expect to receive an email saying they passed?

Had an interview with Infosys. The complete interview was for 15 mins and out of that 5 mins were for documents check.

What’s the norm as far as bonuses to first years, particularly in V20 firms? Everyone seems to be happy with my work, a well respected partner is “impressed,” but there’s no way I’ll hit bonus hours. I’ve done some pro bono but just was not given much work the first few months and still am not swamped, which I am enjoying. I’ve heard whispers that all first years get bonuses. I’d assume it depends on the overall market and firm specifically but just wondering if there’s a norm among V20.

Need help on how to invest. We are positioned to pay off our house later this year. Expect to work for another ~20 years. 401k fully funded and have some company stock investments maturing over the next few years, but no investments outside of that. Kids have a prepaid college plan for certain schools. Emergency fund is solid. Where should I look to start investing? I have fidelity for my 401k, would they be good to open a taxable investment account with, or are there better options?

Got a verbal offer from a big agency a week ago and HR said written offer will come by EOD but no email. They did background check last week. Followed up last week no response, what should I do?

Through a lot of comp discussions I heard a lot of talk of “making you whole” when things get better. Am I drinking the kool-aid by believing this? Is this just meant to prevent further questions that the firm does not know the answer to?
