Looking to begin a career in Financial Analytics. I am an Economics major that graduated in Dec 2020. Since then I have been an Operations Analyst at a FinTech company. I also have some past experience as an analyst at a small business lending company in college. I have been applying for jobs for the past ~6 months. Is it expected/normal to get pregnant spouse Mother’s Day gift?

Someone on LinkedIn expressed disappointment about the lack of diversity from the big law firms in TX that were posting pics of their summer associates. A managing partner commented that he thought the post might be about a pic he posted (12/14 SAs were white). He tried to defend this by saying that they had LGBT and socioeconomic diversity. The fact that he recognized that his pic might be part of the problem says it all. Law firms need to do better. Sorry, I just wanted to rant.

My work quality is slipping due to brain fog and mental health issues and I don’t know how to address it with my firm or who to go to. I was considered one of the best associates in our practice group, but now it can take me 3-4x the time to write an average brief. I can’t seem to think and organize my thoughts any more. This is incredibly scary bc obvi, that’s what this job is all about. I’m in IP litigation at a V50 firm and a mom. Do I raise it with partners and how?

Anyone have a referral to an Account Manager role or work somewhere they really like? I have lots of full cycle AE and SDR experience, and transferable skills from prior roles. 6 years in sales, 4 years in tech, 1 year in Fintech. I’m new here, anyone have a hand to lend? Advice?
