I’m now at a crossroads and would really appreciate some advice — should I upskill in automation testing to grow further in QA, or should I consider switching domains altogether?
I’m 30, and I want to make a practical decision for long-term career growth.

One of our star coders was recently rejected from a promotion because they lacked the number of years of experience required. They've cut back their number of overtime hours dramatically and have started blogging about their skills, probably to attract recruiters. How do I convince them to keep their previous performance?

A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?

I’m seeing the idea of taxing corporations on GAAP income get thrown around. My initial reaction is that it’s a bad idea but I’m far from an expert, especially with taxation. What does everyone here think?
