Hi fishes,I will be joining infosys in June end. I got an email that I need to mandatorily open an ICICI salary account by 15th May.

I know it's needed before joining so can I not open it just one week before the joining date when I am confirmed I will join infosys only?

Hi, I repaid my student loan today and feel awesome. Want to start saving for a home ($350-400k). Any suggestions if I should invest in something short term or a Roth IRA or let it sit in my bank?

I see two crowds these days. One thinks housing market will crash. The other thinks housing market will soar.

The contrarian in me makes me think this is a decent indication that housing market will stagnate (or increase minimally) for a few years.

As a general rules, I feel like the majority cannot foresee a crash/surge coming. The prevalence of such expectations would hamper the pre-conditions necessary for such a dramatic change.
