Recently I was asked an interesting question in a system design round for a company. Please take a look and help me understand how do you solve the problem?

Question - Design an sms service to send messages to 1 million customers

Requirement - upload a csv of 1 million contacts and on clicking send send the sms.

Limitation - 1000 contacts/minute

How would you design this system, considering we have a hard limit of 1000 contacts/limit?

What is the average adoption assistance benefit at big law firms?

I have ADD and occasionally make small mistakes in my work, like leaving a word missing when editing sentences, small formatting errors or leaving an internal comment in drafts sent to clients. All partners have been very understanding and care about the quality of my work, and no client has ever complained. Partners and clients praise my work.

But now, one partner has become super mad and when I explained ADD, he said:

Check the overtime laws for your state!!

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
