This is my 1st switch after 5.5 years from TCS, I'm over comfortable in tcs.
When I decided to switch, I was ok and I got 160% hike. But now when I have only 1 week left in my notice period, I am a nervous wreck.
I want to back out of all these and remain in TCS itself.My family is not happy with my decision. Why am I like this?
Frankly speaking, you should switch. Staying in one company for this longer at this YOE will make you lazy and your growth will stop at one point.
Moreover, switching will give you an opportunity to explore new domains, new friends/colleagues, more importantly higher salary and what not. You can do good for your family with this higher salary.
Just go for it man. We all get nervous when making a switch or doing something new. It's very very common. Just trust the process and go for it.

If its strong feeling, then do what ur heart say. Being happy and satisfy is more importnant. There r many people like you bro, but problem is people dont see beyond money.

True.. I don't have any problem with hindi per se.. issue is people assuming everyone knows hindi and answering in hindi. What I posted is some stupid song which has no usefulness or relevance to the question asked. So its hindi.. tamil.. telugu.. doesnt matter. I found song in hindi relevant to what he asked. If i found in tamil or telugu i would have posted in telugu or tamil or spanish or arabic. again knowing well , OP may not understand the language, but wont harm as its anyway harmless fun.If you see I actually answered in English.
In one my comments in another post someone posted a meme in tamil. I don't understand , but I did not mind as it's harmless fun.i would have taken aback if someone wrote answer to my question in tamil because then I keep wondering what the answer is and why they assumed I know tamil!!
But I see what you saying and why you feel so.. I own up and will take care. Unlike many I don't argue and accept others view point.

You are only 5.5 yoe.. this is your time to work ur ass off and learn new skills and explore.
If you get comfortable and stay at one place, you will regret once you cross 10yrs yoe.
At the end of the day its your choice..

When you get a 6 digit salary credited every month then you realise that the more you study and learn the more these digits will increase.And when you realise this you never get comforable in your current role.The nber of years you work in IT is limited.So make it count by earning good money to keep your future safe.Having said that dont burnout yourself.I would suggestif learning and money is there in the new role just switch.Dont think.With all due respect your family wont support you when you have a wife and a kid and when you will have shit load of EMIs to pay every month.Its your salary that will count.

Hey its ok to have these kind of feelings as its your first switch. Just switch, explore the opportunity. Remember good opportunity knocks once, don't loose this. After this switch you will be ok. Trust me.

Why are all leaving TCS.. The day before yesterday I got call from TCS HR for the HR round, and she wanted me to discuss on salary part I told her that my expectations would be in "......" range, she literally started bargaining like we do in shops 😂😂😂I told see if you want me to come in the next round then discuss with hirng mgr, take your time and then come but don't do such things, we both should respect time of each other. She didn't call yet 😂😂😂
Long term onsite mil rha to raho nhi to swich karo. That'll be my advice.
