How much can one expect for the role of Data Scientist at UPS?

Current CTC: 17.15LPA
4.4 YOE

Just got offered a job at a small biotech in London (UK). ~£45k plus bonus but only 1YR FTC and no equity.

Pretty sure it's a discovery role too.

I just finished my PhD at a very good uni with 3 years technician experience before that. BSc and MSc also at very good unis with good grades.

I think this offer is well below par, but curious to hear what you guys think/if you have any comparisons?

Hello — Looking to crowdsource some pros & cons from this knowledgeable group. I have two opportunities. 1: FAANG in Product and 2: Big Pharma. Compensation is more or less equivalent (~300-350k range with Pharma heavy on cash, FAANG heavy on RSUs). What should I be thinking about (long-term trajectory, WLB, future exit opportunities, other)? Appreciate the input in advance.

As a 20+ year lawyer with no big law experience (smaller and mid size firms plus government and in house experience), would a BigLaw firm even consider me? Perhaps an of counsel position? Even a senior associate?

I currently work at an international law firm (4 years) and recently accepted an offer to go in house. The main attorney I support did not take the news well and was very angry with me. I have 7 YOE and applied for a position that is L4. I feel as if I’m overqualified for the position, but the Recruiter told me that when they say L4, they are actually looking for someone with 6+ years of experience. Is this true? I feel like I should be looking at L5 with my experience
