I have cleared conflicts but the background check won’t clear for another week. I have passed background checks at three firms, a background check by USCIS to obtain my citizenship, and haven’t committed any crimes or even a moving violation since then. Am I safe to give notice before background clears?

I’m a 5th yr at a mid-size (~100 lawyer) firm. My practice area is slow here, so I’m interviewing. Most of the roles I’m interview for are at big firms...but I’m worried about the increase in billable hours. (For context, my current requirement is 1600, I’ve literally never billed over 1700). How painful will it be adding 100-300 hrs? Has anyone else made this sort of jump?

Anyone know where to rush order a custom suit? Getting married in two weekends and had ordered a custom jacket and coat for the reception dinner and ceremony, but Suitsupply made a mistake and it’s too late to fix it through them. I have weird proportions and off the rack never fits so hence the need for something custom/tailored.
