Hey Fishes! What level does an Accenture UK 'Graduate' start at? Also could someone give any kind of salary range? This would be a transfer from another company for 2 YOE. If I were to be placed at the 'bottom of the SFBG (Salesforce Business Group). I will soon be having a conversation over accepting the role and wondering what salary to aim for. This is UK based, Manchester. Thanks!
I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

Depends on the tech.
But it seems like a great offer I’d take that over MBB. Later you can always do an MBA to shift to MBB or just stay in tech.
However fair warming do not fall for the tech trap. Tech is awesome but not all tech is and it’s not awesome all the time. Some of the big Consulting firms have been around over 100 years but none of the biggest tech have.
Consulting teaches you skill sets, tech teaches you tools (except for agile and OKRs kudos to these too).
If you think about most of the tech we use today will likely be close to irrelevant in 30 years. When a new tech starts growing tech companies won’t train their current employees and promote them. They will bring in new fresher employees that already know the new tech.
Indeed Technology companies are notorious for agism and we saw Microsoft lose all its prestige and nearly get into death spiral because they were late in cloud. Do you think there’s a tech company hiring the people that built windows? Or the ones that built computers for HP and Dell? These people are mostly obsolete.
We generalize that tech is awesome, but the reality is that tech is only awesome at a core team working on innovative products/services. So make sure the startup fits this criteria, if it does I’d 100% take it.
Just some advice from an ex-FAANG

Interested in this and I've thought about this too.
This is not me speaking as someone who is knowledgeable. However my thought process is that the issue isn't that alternative experiences close the door on MBB. MBB will still see you as competitive. But rather that if you do something else now, it makes less sense to do MBB later when you're already making more $$ and when it's very very hard to get into MBB at the M level or higher.
This might sound like I'm saying it's obvious to do something outside of MBB. But if you see MBB as a box to check for your resume - that stamp of approval, the connections you may build, breadth of experience, and work at a higher level (e.g., MBB promoted to M level after 2 years vs IC role at a tech company as an example) - then the possibility of being fortunate enough to be in a position where MBB makes less sense in the future actually makes life complicated now.
That's just my thought process. MBBers chime in and help us think through this hahaha
Doesn’t directly answer your question, but honestly see the allure of MBB and all strategy consulting as having a major decline in prestige. FAANG aside, even working at a SAP, Workday, Salesforce, etc. is seen as more sexy / relevant to the best jobs undergrads can land into today (data scientist, product management, etc).
