Not sure what you mean.

Small title companies can be very lucrative.

Writing title as agent for an underwriter can also be lucrative, although profits there are being squeezed more and more, particularly for sophisticated commercial deals. Still, if you’re on the buy side, you’ll be doing almost all of the work required to issue a commitment and policy anyway.

Yes - the underwriters will require that.

I’d never advise someone to try to do this in their own without experience.

Had H1B in the past and only used 2.5 years in total. I'm currently in Turkey and not planning on going back to the US now but my door is open just in case. I work in Turkish company here but since my resume is in database of some US companies they reach me out time to time. How should I explain my visa situation? A legal person would understand I still have a valid H1B but not the hr screening recruiter. Any suggestions? Also can I work for an US company remotely outside? Thanks 😊

My SO and I are expecting our first child in a couple of months. We're starting the kid thing later in life, so we already have a NW of $2mil, no debt, and live in a MCOL area. Baby checklists say we should think about term life insurance, but if one (or both) of us were to pass, we talked about it, and each of us think we should be fine without an additional insurance policy. (We also have group life of $200k+ through employers.) Would you/wouldn't you pay for term life in our situation?

Does anyone know of any good job options in FL for attorneys who are not licensed in FL? I’m wanting to move back to be closer to my family but I really do not want to take the bar again. I’m currently licensed in MO and doing products liability and trucking litigation through the Midwest. I’ve applied for some in house roles but I’ve only got three years of practice so I’m not sure I’m qualified. Is it possible to find something or will I need to suck it up and take the bar again?
