What's going on in Bosch? Why is every other comment saying "don't join bosch". Since childhood I've been listening to it that Bosch is a big great german company with good wlb. Can anyone help me out with What's going on ?
Now Bosch is BGSW. When a shared service model is added to a product-based firm, it is no longer the product's entity; it serves the product. So, shared services have different goals. They prioritize cost-cutting and behave like a service-based firm. They send fewer people to product development sites so that they can show benefit to their customers, not partners. Once partnering ceases, a customer-vendor relationship develops, which was not present at Bosch before. This is why people are unhappy and advise against joining. Work-life balance is excellent as Bosch Germany has fired over 30,000 people in the last five years, so people who work in Germany are scared of losing their jobs and take on most of the critically important work. You are given average, common work. Many managers, as they moved to shared services, have started "licking the boots" of partners, which has changed the mindset of many people who had joined Bosch with a different perspective.
Don't Join Bosch .
Bosch is great if you are in project management or stuffs like that. They have layers and layers of project managers. Not so good for tech ppl or IC. Full of politics. Only talk. No actual work.
