Hi! I’m looking for some guidance. I work remote & I’ve been considering the next step in my career. It seems like all RecOps jobs are either hired for internally OR non-existent. I have experience as an HR generalist and Recruiter. I’m considering making a switch to a People Operations role as I think the career growth potential (and even volume of roles) is more significant. I enjoy supporting employees. I hav applied to over 100 in the past year with no success. Has anyone made this change?

Is it too late/inadvisable to go to law school to specifically aim for privacy work?

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

Is my manager forcing me out?

In our 121 last we had a good discussion on creating a personal development plan, with the idea being I’d write down clear goals & action points to get from my current level to the next, and I’d provide weekly evidence of it. I prepped the doc accordingly, but instead of wanting to discuss it, he said I have 4 weeks to “turn things around” - without giving any new info on what I’ve done wrong - esp given I wrote my goals based on this same feedback from last week??
