Leather Surgeons is popular if you don’t find anyone locally.
Rago Brothers outside NYC is the company where all the big brands actually send things if they don’t have repairs in house. I’ve sent photos of damage and done mail-ins to them and things have come back really good. Their primary business is probably not individual customers but they are definitely experts.
Depending on where you are based, many major cities will have a go-to cobbler/leatherworker that is known for work on luxury goods. In Dallas, for example, Dino’s in Highland Park is where most go to have luxury heels repaired, belts resized, and bags refurbished. I’d suggest asking around in your area (sales reps at Neiman Marcus, owner of a high-end consignment) who they recommend. Or if you regularly travel to a larger city or are willing to ship, use a known shop elsewhere.
Leather Spa in NYC. You can ship to them too
Are you based in the US? I've had a few bags repaired before. I might recommend a place for you depending on your location.
Yes I’m in the US - I’m outside of Boston
I strongly recommend bagbirdy. I had the best experience with them when my purse got caught in something sharp. Now, my purse look good as new.
Thank you everyone! I’m in Boston if anyone has any local reccos.
Take it to the Celine store before anywhere else. Most luxury brands repair their own things
Thanks! I reached out to Celine. It took a few days but they asked for additional info (proof of purchase and pictures etc). So hopefully they can help!
Have you tried taking it to a purse repair service center in your area? I just brought mine to a repair shop near my apartment. Really glad that they had it repaired in just a span of 3 days.
If there aren't any repair services near you, there are a lot of service you can find online that works through mailing. My sister had a bag repaired and used that type of service. I can't recall the name though.
I had a damaged handbag and it was also my favorite. I hid it away for months now. If anyone knows of any repair service around Queens, NY, please do comment here. Thanks in advance!
