I’m not on linked in I just googled - searched firms/industries near me or places I already have an idea about and looked on their job boards also searched top recruiters in accounting reached out to two - found 3 interviews with this approach and received offers from all three firms.

An internal move would be incredibly difficult in my situation. I was already in the works to transfer to a different practice before this situation occurred. I wouldn’t have tried to transfer if I had known what was coming.
I was able to land something within 2 weeks with the help of a solid recruiter. If you’re able to get a referral from KPMG1 I’d definitely go with that. I notice with the current job market the best way to land something is through networking.
