There's alot to ask on this and not much info was provided. I'm assuming that you dont have a trusted IT person with the company to help with the process. Try this from your own machine. I looked up your scenario by copying the text from your posting and searching into perplexity.ai
Dont buy anything or give personal details. It can give a decent framework on steps to take. Consult with someone more tech savvy as deal with the transfer can be aggravating.

Do you have the phone, but they ported the number to a different phone? Did you port your number to their provider when you joined or how were they paying your bill? Did you get that agreement in writing? Have you talked to the provider who holds your number? Was the number listed with your name? Ie if someone looked up the number would it give you or if the search for you could they find you? Do you have documentation that it was your number prior to joining the company? What response are you getting when you say, I need to port my number over to a new carrier now that I am no longer at your company? And who is telling you no? HR? Your old boss? IT? What happens now if you call that number?
Do you know what is required ... ie what documentation do you need to port the number? If all else fails, get an attorney to write a demand letter. But
