Hi, not licensed in Florida but I am hoping this bowl can help me out. My old college friend filed a case in Miami pro se. I am not helping him out but he asked me how long he has to respond to the other party’s motion to dismiss. In my state our state civil procedures dictates a response time but it appears in Florida it doesn’t? The only info I can find is on the judge’s individual webpage’s that states a response has to be filed before the hearing date? Am I missing something?

War or no war is quite often a sensitivity, and adoption of EVs/renewables/biofuels will be between X and 10X. I am defending an eviction for a client who has given possession of the property (as of Nov. 30). Plaintiff’s complaint has one claim – possession. They did request relief for attorney’s fees. NJT/Final Hearing commenced 10/27, was only 30 min and was therefore continued to 12/20. Plaintiff had counsel at that time but they are no longer represented.  I want to file something notifying Court that Plaintiff claim is now moot, making sure that judgment is not entered that hurts (cont'd)..

Jr. Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm in Central Florida. Good credentials; top 10% at T14, law review. Sick of private practice bc of hours and pressure. Also, not enjoying the work that Central Florida offers, but want to live here.

I want to one day have my own firm. Trying to think outside the box on how to get the experience w/o being in big law for ten years.

Thinking of applying to be an ASA and to the FL AGO. Would like trial experience or civil rights/con law work.

Florida associates (3-6 years experience) at regional decent size firms (or I guess really any firm), what is your hourly rate and salary? Thinking ahead about asking for a raise this year, and wondering if I’m limited at my firm bc our rates are seemingly low.
