Are there hikes ?
I thought so
I had requested for a 20% hike for an internal job transfer in November this year as it would have meant me loosing out on the Annual Commensation Review ( ACR ) and the new position was for T3-1 while I was at T2-3 yet it was not possible for HR unless your hiring manager could get special approvals from the board which my new hiring manager clearly did not want to take.
Now since ACR is complete , HR may try to lowball you but I feel you can get anywhere from 5% to 15% depends on how much the new team wants you and how much you can negotiate . If they get exceptional approval from the board even higher hike % are possible but that depends on the will and inclination of the hiring manager and your current payscale vis a vis the new team your joining
Also remember to ask questions right away before accepting the new offer of how your hiring manager will compensate you for the coming year upfront incase HR cannot give you hike or you are not happy with the hike % for internal transfer

There is always a point it is basis performance
Which cant be nullified.
How you can handle this
Did not make any sense to switch with promotion and low hike % as the new manager did no assure Move SAP grants which I get annually in my existing team .
