my manager is also doing same things like what you described, i have to tell him each and everything even if i am a bit late due to traffic i have to inform him what i am doing and needs excel sheets for every task, the toxicity is unbearable, i haven’t taken a week off since I joined, it has been a year now , i am tired, depressed and sad, and I know it will not change, after hikes were announced they increased the pressure on individuals, i have started preparing and giving interviews once i get an offer i will resign and go, there is no point of staying here and working like a donkey, this place is not for humans. leaving from here is the only way out.

I rejected my offer for a Manager role. Thanks for the honest feedback, this was helpful in making right decision.
I think the issue is not with them but the management.People sitting above are forcing them to do that.In my induction they were giving examples of ISRO like how in very less cost compared to USA India has reached the moon and all that.Indirectly they are telling we have hired you cheaply to do same work or more.I feel really bad that time..they were directly comparing us cost wise.

Agree or not that’s the bottom line. Cost arbitration is the basis for setting up GCCs in India and Phil talent pool is a plus.
