How can I tell if a job listing is fake? I keep falling for these scams and I'm not sure what I'm not seeing.

Some things to consider: too good to be true, pressuring or demanding your information, what the method of communication is, and trust your instincts. Also, don’t be too hard on yourself. The scams are evolving.

like

Do some research on the company before responding. If they don’t offer that information then don’t respond.

Look the company up on Glassdoor. Check to make sure all communications are coming from verified channels and that the sending URL matches the company's. And if you see the job reposted frequently in a short amount of time, it's most likely a ghost job.

If you’re a fourth year in biglaw, what responsibilities are you given in m&a? I feel like I still haven’t had a ton of opportunities working on purchase agreements (and mostly just take the lead on ancillary work streams) and I’m afraid I’m falling behind others in my class year.

Hello Everyone,

I have been working with Kantar (a market research company) for 10 months now. The company has given me permanent work from home. Work is quite good and I am able to learn many things here. Also, my manager is very supportive and patient.
The only thing is about compensation, I have a package of 14 lpa with 6 YOE.
I'm thinking of switching to some company based in Pune.
What should I do?

Closing on my first home. Advice for anyone with student loans in administrative forbearance per the Cares act: once your offer is accepted have you student loan servicer put your account back in repayment status.

Accounts in forbearance, even administrative forbearance, are calculated at a higher monthly payment by the underwriter.

My fictitious debt to income ratio was too high for them to approve me, and it took seven days for my loan to be officially back in repayment. So just a heads up.

Any hot leads on Workers Compensation roles?

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

I've done so well in this new role within the company that they are hiring another person to assist with what I do. I've voiced to my boss that I'd like to manage this department and they indicated that this is the thought for the future. Now they are asking me to train this person while I have my plate full. Is it wrong for me to expect either a promotion or to be paid to train this person?
