How competitive are assistant legal counsel positions at the Permanent Court of Arbitration for folks with American JDs? I've looked up some people on LinkedIn and think I check a lot of the boxes and I know international arbitration is competitive in general but would love to hear any personal experience/feedback.

The only person I know who held one of those positions did a Swiss LLM post-JD.

Interesting, and makes sense - I'm considering getting an LLM abroad because that was what I was noticing as well.

Hi all- I’m a first year staff who works in Forensic accounting & compliance. I am almost at 1 year in PA, & have come to terms that this career is not for me. I am a creative at heart & interested in working in the music business/ tech industry. My PA experience has provided me with hard skills, which is why I think it would be a great segway into the music biz & entertainment industry. Please react/comment if you are in the music biz/tech field. Would love some advise on how to pivot!

My company is changing policies for remote work from international to national only. Do I have any leverage? I'm finding it really hard to get concrete info on what would make a company do so and if I can come up with any sort of rationale to have them let me stay international. Any thoughts appreciated

Transactional associate. Lateraled 6 months ago and one of the biggest pain points has been my new firm’s inclination to “hop on a call”, which of course requires every single stakeholder to join. The end result being every call has 25 people on it and nothing actually gets done because no one wants to ask a question that could come off as silly. It’s destroying my ability to get anything done during the day. It’s a complete performance and it drives me nuts.
