Mine choice was from my father. He was Army so I joined the Army to honor my pops

My family influenced me in what I chose to do once in the military.

98 score on ASVAB chose my branch for me

I mostly just listen to audiobooks now. I'm very much an auditory learner even before, and I love learning new things while still being on the go.

My cousin influenced me into joining the army. Had a Marine Attached assignment.

To be honest, I just looked for the one who would give me a better challenge and offered me the biggest change. It sounds cliché but that was my thought process back then. I wasn’t down a good path so I needed a branch of service who would change me for the better. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t change anything. Just pick the branch that feels right for you but whatever you do get a MOS (job) that will transition well into the civilian sector. Hope this helps you on your journey.
