How do Bain / BCG view M7 candidates for an MBA internship who have to decline an invite to an invite only dinner for a specific office? I’m devastated because I was fortunate enough to receive an invite from both companies to my dream office location, but have to decline for an urgent family matter (which I could forgo if absolutely necessary). I’d greatly appreciate advice and/or insight into how that might affect my chances of landing the internship. How much weight do these dinners hold? TY

How do you get good at thinking on your feet? I find I always need time to think and analyse before being able to answer client queries (even those that are considered simple by others). I don't want to rush and get it wrong. I avoid phone calls for this reason which isn't great when you're in the service industry so it's starting to impact my career.

Just took this BCG Quant Reasoning test and I think I messed it up. Some of the units are so confusing. Is nearest 000s of pounds 23000 or 23? They don’t partial mark it and the whole test was filled with this sort of thing. Oh well

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?
