Company : Morgan Stanley

How is this position for a BE+ MBA , total 3+ years of IT experience in top MNC.What would be the expected CTC and next hierarchy designation ( after a promotion ) ? Morgan Stanley
About to head to the HC for a role in ProdOps and Strategy in Mountain View. 4 YoE at MBB, no competing offers. Recruiter gave me a form that asks expected comp.
Levels.fyi has only PM salaries. I haven’t been told the level but expect it to be L4.
What total comp would you expect for this role? Any advice would be super helpful, as I’m a bit lost.

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

It means you will likely work just as much if not more than at MBB
In industry, there are a lot of 9-5 personalities who literally will not put in extra effort. Could be senior leaders are just looking for folks with intrinsics to do what the job requires to get done.
If they say lifestyle and culture is good - could be great to work with ex-MBB folks who have strong toolkit in a more chill environment.
If they don’t highlight lifestyle… then prob red flag as this is just someone who wants a permanent in-house MBB team.

It depends on how you look at it
They only hire MBBs because they will understand each other and work more effectively
You can argue that this doesn’t make for a very diverse team which is terrible.
But the rebuttal may be that the MBB are very diverse, so grabbing a random sample of people from there you still get big diversity of thought
But personally no me gusta
It's an ego stroke for a lot of folks. Thats the itch that these recruiters are trying to scratch.

It’s a red flag if part of the reason you’re looking to leave is the WLB or the culture. I wouldn’t say no to the interview, as much I’d want to explore the good questions others have raised with the actual hiring manager.
I suspect you know this, but if you’re looking at PE/VC, F500 corporate strategy or corp dev roles, etc you’re almost certainly walking back into the belly of the beast regardless.
