Harder if you're <1yr, find an MD willing to sponsor you and everything is easier
The easiest way (other than putting in a request and crossing your fingers) is: You should ideally find an MD willing to sponsor you first, but they likely will make you wait 1 year from your hire date. A good strategy is to start looking for projects/roles on myscheduling and see if there's anything you're really qualified for or are passionate about. Then reach out to the contact on the project, plead your case, and see whether they'd be willing to sponsor the switch based on the awesome case you've presented. Then you have to have a soft break up talk with your current project and determine how much pull the new project vs old one has. If you're benched, obviously the old project part doesn't apply.
Just submit a ticket on myrequest. You'll get a case manager type person who will work with you to get the right approvals
@A1 what if you've been at the company for <1 year
No idea but can't hurt to try. The office you're transferring into must have demand for more people too (e.g. Big metro city)
