Hi! I need help! Where do I find creative, quirky, Prod Co’s? Need to do Docu-style videos fun, artsy, some Gfx. Not just talking heads. Client is corporate but spots don’t need to be boring. The reels I have are too “commercial”. It’s for branded content but should feel like little films. Need on camera dialogue & B-roll to create a mood. It’s a triple bid so need more options! Team loves this place, are there more? https://www.cottage8films.com
It was recommended that I post here...
I’m working with a financial education startup that is looking for an animator or team of animators that can produce 10-20 2Danimated explainer-videos (possibly a lot more in the future). 60-90seconds in length each.
They want to prioritize comprehension (function>fashion), with just a bit more style than what you can see of their past videos on their front page: https://learnfinlit.com/
DM me and I can send more info...

During a time we’re all trying to understand what changes AI will bring to our industry it feels a bit overwhelming to dive head-first into a new process like this.
It will get messy quickly for reps. Submitting some leads on Reel Drop and some over email is going to be a lot to manage. Since production companies and freelance directors can also submit directly to the lead honesty needs to be stronger than ever. And let’s be real, with the amount of work there is right now (not much) we’re seeing truthfulness decline as everyone’s fighting for any opportunity they can get their hands on… big or small.
Right now there’s a percentage-based award system on Real Drop for directors that get submitted to any given lead. Projects and the directors that get submitted are far too nuanced and specific for a simple approach like this. That’s why the reps are so valuable. Not only do they have the rosters of great talent.. they also know the industry and pay close attention to what the lead is asking for.
With every change, it feels like we are all losing the personal touch that makes this industry fun and exciting. I realize that makes me sound old haha.. but I am definitely on the younger side of this business.
Final concern is the agency's in-house production companies. Many times we'll see a lead come out from an agency production arm. Then a week later the lead goes wide. Production companies need to hold out if they don't want to be out of business.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. If agencies start using it inevitably reps and production companies will need to fall in line if they want to work.

Great question. As the only group representing sales people in our business this is a key issue.
