I force myself to fill my weekend with activities, no matter how tired or burnt out I'm feeling at the end of the week. Things like working out, taking my dog to the park, grabbing food with friends or hitting the bars. I try to do as much fun stuff as I can so that when I'm back at work on Monday, I feel like the daily grind is worthwhile - it allows me to enjoy my life on the weekends. If I do nothing but sit in the apartment all weekend, it all starts to feel pointless.

I think that’s the rhythm I’ve fallen into - definitely going to try and get out more this weekend and enjoy it!
This is arbitrary and vague but it is the only thing that I find brings the dread down. I tell myself that every week before this one I’ve made it through and been fine in some shape or form. If there’s anything that is stressful, I have taken care of it before. Even the worst of it. The chances of the next week being your worst is low and the chances that you’ve already made it through a worst week is high. All to say you’ve taken care of things before and you will tomorrow. Say it to yourself until it connects in the brain. Lie to yourself until it’s convincingly a truth lol

I love this!!! Trying it this weekend - thank you!
Honestly, it never occurs to me that I can enjoy a weekend or off time without thinking about work and what I got going on at work. I just assume it’s part of my life now every other moment will be me obsessing over something at the office.
