Anyone deal with taking paternity leave during a 2-year clerkship? How long did you take and how’d you bring it up to your judge?

I have been wanting a dog for like 10+ more years, now I’m finally a full grown adult but I suddenly don’t know if I can take that responsibility and handle what will happen in like 15 years when my fur baby will eventually pass away. Also I hated to say but I don’t trust any pet stores but idk where to find a good breeder and puppies are so so expensive recently. Should I still get a dog?

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles. My manager says it isn’t my problem as they are a vendor but I can’t help thinking I have an ethical responsibility to do something. Any advice as to how to approach this without being fired?

I am about to leave my current organization and I have several thousand in outstanding commission owed to me. It is a start up, so I have little faith in their fulfillment if I am not there to hold them responsible. My contract says I must be paid it within 6 months of separation. Tax senior with CPA at small firm. Best way to get to Big 4 audit? (LA or OC) Went to non-target so little to no alumni at B4. I don’t mind the switch to a lower title since audit was always my preference and was never a fan of tax (stayed local for family).

Just over 6 years in B4 financial services tax in PNW area. Mostly doing compliance work pumping out K1s and returns. Just got an industry offer at 155k 15% bonus and 100k equity (4year vesting). Fully remote position with occasional travel. Should I accept? I know it's a long shot but deep down I always had an ambition to pursue PA to see if I can make a partner. Got hired 3 years ago- newly created staff accountant role with the plan that it’ll go into a senior and then manager role. 1.5 years in I get a title promotion to senior, told I’ll get more duties, start supervising AP, and get monetary promotion to match next year. Got way more work, but nothing else promised within that year. Told next money bump would be manager role (no raise for senior still) and I need to take on more and start supervising AP. Again, seeing nothing…time to leave?
